Hong Kong’s new IPO listing rules explained
Hong Kong published the new listing rules on July 23. Matt Emsley and Jason Sung, Hong Kong-based partners of law firm Herbert Smith Freehills, explain key changes and how the IPO approval procedure will be streamlined.

The listing rule changes will only apply to IPO applications submitted on or after October 1, 2013—those in the pipeline before that date are subject to the existing rules.
