
Europe pushes back Basel III
Europe will delay the Basel III deadline for bank capital requirements for six months at least. Originally set to go live in January 2013, Europe now follows the US in postponing the regulations.

What: Europe is set to give its banking institutions a stay of execution from implementing Basel III capital requirements, but only for six months, according to German central bank board member, Andreas Dombret in an Handelsblatt article published on Monday (December 4)
