With new forms of payments on the rise, security is front and centre. The annual Black Hat/Defcon hacker convention in Las Vegas on July 26 featured some detailed, and frankly scary, panels on mobile hacking. And Apple’s proposed purchase of mobile firm AuthenTec on July 27 may have been talked about in Reuters and The Wall Street Journal in the context of the expanding use of mobile payments, but really it’s a mobile security firm.
