Tax audits and investigations are up significantly during the year. In Vietnam, tax audits are fairly common and regular audits by the tax authority are sometimes quite relaxed. But if a company receives a request for tax inspection, it is very serious and time consuming. Most importantly, very few companies can get good or reasonable results after tax inspection, so it’s best to know the process and mitigate the risks.
