
Tokenisation in treasury: Hong Kong and Singapore make digital asset strides
Two groundbreaking projects, Project Ensemble and Project Guardian, are setting the stage for digital asset innovation in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) on the weekend announced the completion of the first phase of Project Ensemble, an initiative focused on wholesale central bank digital currencies (wCBDC) and tokenisation in finance. Since its launch in March, Project Ensemble has been testing digital asset use cases through a regulatory “sandbox,” a controlled environment for experimentation.
