
Sri Lanka liberalises FX controls; obstacles remain
As part of its exchange control liberalisation, Sri Lanka has relaxed certain restrictions on foreign currency accounts to make it easier for funds to flow in and out of the country.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) announced on February 5 that it has eased the restrictions on remitting and transacting foreign currencies with immediate effect.
