Japan’s PayPay joins Alipay+ network to expand local merchant coverage
Alipay+ now claims to connect over three million local merchants in Japan to international tourists, up from some two million back in March.
Japan’s QR code payment operator, PayPay, has joined the Alipay+ network initiated by Ant International. PayPay helps Alipay+ to enhance its local connection to over three million local merchants in Japan, according to a November 6 press release distributed during the Singapore Fintech Festival.
