
India gets tough on intercompany loans
India’s new 2013 Companies Act has got treasurers in a bind, requiring them to fix intercompany loan rates to government securities.

India intends to clamp down on the use of intercompany loans, with more restrictions placed on loan requirements and loan rates from April 1. Treasurers and lawyers are concerned the new regulations will make rate setting increasingly complex.
