
HKMA hands HSBC and Anchorpoint Financial stablecoin licences
As treasurers show more interest in the use of digital assets, the two firms will integrate stablecoins into payment flows over the next few months.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has granted stablecoin issuer licences under the Stablecoins Ordinance to Anchorpoint Financial and HSBC for issuing stablecoins in Hong Kong; the licences took effect on April 10.
