Trade finance volumes dropped 32% year-on-year for 2013, according to Dealogic submissions-based data; however, syndicated trade almost tripled.

Trade finance fell to the lowest annual recorded volume since 2007, according to Dealogic. In the data firm’s 2013 full year trade review, trade finance numbers revealed the largest year-on-year percentage transaction volume decrease on record, dropping to $124.1 billion from $184.5 billion in 2012.
