
Global real-time payments surge by 41% in 2020, says report
India, China, South Korea and Thailand are among the top five countries generating more real-time transactions last year, according to a report by ACI Worldwide and GlobalData.

New research has showed that over 70.3 billion real-time payments transactions were processed globally in 2020, an increase of 41% compared with 2019, as Covid-19 accelerated trends away from cash toward greater reliance on real-time and digital payments.
