Skittish investors have been scrambling aggressively for US dollars, leaving Indonesia's rupiah to flounder at levels not seen since 2010.

The Indonesian rupiah has suffered at the hands of huge US dollar demand. In the last month, the currency made losses of 3%, reaching IDR9,475 against the dollar, since May 4. This is the weakest the currency has been for two years.
