CT Awards: the winners of Asia's best banks in 2019

To decide our winners for this category, we’ve continued our successful joint research initiative between East & Partners Asia and CorporateTreasurer which is now in its second year.

This involved East & Partners Asia directly interviewing - either in person or by phone - more than 1,200 corporate treasurers and CFOs across the Asia Pacific region, taking a deep dive into treasurer experience with their providers and key issues confronting the treasury function in Asia today.

These senior executives are from the Top 100 corporates as measured by annual revenues in each of the 13 markets covered. In other words, it represents the top-of-town market segment. The geographical coverage included Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

We also made sure that the industry sector distribution of these institutions interviewed directly reflected the structure of the market’s population.

As part of the awards criteria, interviewees were asked to nominate their primary service provider in each of the core transaction services: cash management, trade and supply chain, and FX services, followed by rating their experience with these providers. The winners were then determined by the combined scores of market share and satisfaction rating.

Again we were delighted with the level of engagement and participation in this ground breaking original research by CorporateTreasurer and East & Partners.
