
China reforms bank loan-to-deposit ratios
China adjusted loan-to-deposit ratio calculation rules for the first time in 19 years, a measure economists calculate will free up about Rmb1.25 trillion.

The China Banking Regulatory Commissio(CBRC) issued a circular, effective as of July 1 that uses the calculation method of loan-to-deposit ratios to free up additional renminbi capital for lending.
