China’s central bank eyes Internet finance development
The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) believes Internet finance is the new tool that will cut bank operation costs and increase transparency. In its second quarter monetary policy report, the PBOC said online platforms have the potential to improve customer convenience and provide a wealth of credit data. The central bank has set up a research team to look into the subject.
