
CBRC fines Haier in-house bank for ‘non-compliant’ loans
China’s banking watchdog sets down a marker on how in-house banks should lend money. The size of the fine, however, is modest.

Haier Finance Co., the in-house bank of consumer electronics and home appliances manufacturer Haier Group, received a slap on the wrist in the form of a fine over how it lends out its funds.
