
CBDCs need to reduce transaction costs: IMF's Kristalina Georgieva
Close to 60% of countries worldwide are exploring central bank digital currencies, with 11 already having deployed them, but the private sector also needs to step up, said IMF's managing director at Singapore Fintech Week.
