Businesses snub HK's 'complex, uncertain' treasury centre sweetener

Advocates of Hong Kong as Asia's regional treasury centre hub will find a new KPMG study grim reading. The accountancy firm surveyed 300 senior business executives at Hong Kong-based companies – including multinationals, Chinese and local enterprises – on whether they would take advantage of the city's tax incentives for setting up a treasury centre in the city. Some 52% had no intention of doing so.
