Bank of Japan raises rates amid 'robust' wage growth

The Bank of Japan (BoJ) raised interest rates to 0.5% from 0.25% on Friday, January 24, after last lifting them at the end of July 2024. This is the bank's highest nominal level in 17 years since 2008.
